After our time in Gizzy, we moved to our new wwoof-hosts Setha and Roddy, nearby Havelock North.
They live a simple life, in their tiny home surrounded by green hills.
Under the spectacular sky full of stars, their home looks even smaller.
Both love to be in their vegetable garden (Setha’s Seeds), working on new ideas and projects as well as playing their own music (Cabin Fevre). We noticed the beauty of growing own food and cooking with it. You can taste the difference of meals, since your attitude towards it changes. You are more and more thankful and its value increases.
We spent the evenings cooking, talking, laughing and eating together. In the afternoon we often went to the beautiful river with its waterfalls, where an enthusiastic Jannik took photos and I relaxed while reading.
I would say they both changed ourselves, as we think of different ways of living and notice the importance of freedom. Freedom within the meaning of only doing what you want to do, cause things you do unwillingly make you sad while doing them and maybe still after you’ve done them (certainly that’s not a free pass to be too egoistic).
We’re looking forward to see them again!
