We haven’t seen any in the last couple of days.
Thats why we thought it would be a good idea to wwoof. So we used our precious internet to text all hosts in the surrounding of Rotorua (where we’ve been at that time). It didn’t take long and we got our first replies.
We decided to help out Bernard and Britta, two doctors with a (for us) huge farm.
Arriving there, Gareth, who takes care of the farm, showed us around and told us whats to do.
He is an awesome and wise guy, who loves working in nature and is closely connected with earth.
On the farm we had to work in many different locations with plenty things to do.
Such as, feeding and moving the highland cattle, planting and cutting trees, laying waterpipes, mulching the orchard, taking care of chicken and cleaning sheds/staples.
Living the “farm-life” is definetly different to everything we’ve done before. It is always vivid on places with animals and it gets never boring.
It was a great experience, which we would recommend to everyone.
