What is this world we are living in?
More and more of our life turns into digits – information shown by zeros and ones, explaining everything. Game of Luck is a picture, which refers to the question, if there is any randomness hidden in our universe or if it’s all understandable and reasonable.
Is there anything in our brains or minds that is not controlled by chemical processes and can’t be explained with enough knowledge?
Is there any luck left in our world or could you calculate all this so lucky seeming happenings?
Was there ever randomness?
Of course with enough information that 6 you luckily diced isn’t lucky anymore but it was rolled with the right amount of power and spin.
Thinking further, lucky coincidences like running into your neighbors in a different country or winning the lottery happened not out of randomness or good fortune,
but are things that could have been calculated and known beforehand.
Knowing every motion of every particle makes you omniscient and shows you that there is actually fate (If there is no randomness).
Nothing you have ever done was because you wanted to do so, but because it was defined.
Thats an awful thought that could change everything.
In my opinion there has to be randomness, because there wouldn’t have been any reason why all this should happen, if the end is known in the beginning.
If I know that I’m going to win that chess match, why should I even begin to play?
What do you think? Has life ever been a game of luck?
There is a fantastic video of VSauce about this topic:
