After we’ve been quite a while on the road, around one month without a place to settle, we had the urge to wwoof again.
Of all the people we contacted just one gave us a positive feedback. Margret, who lives close to Dunedin, could need our help. She’s got a huge vegetable and fruit garden, which never runs out of work. At first Margret was super kind and explained everything, we learned a lot and spend all day outside. For dinner we always had something from the garden, which make you appreciate it even more. Having really good days, we were glad to be with her.
But over time her character began to change. She started to work again, which was certainly the reason. The daily routine must have stressed her. Moreover it changed her mind about money. She began to be thrifty even though she earned more money then. It was quite a good example of how people are influenced by work and money. Having more, means unfortunately often giving less.
In the meantime we spend a few evenings on St Clair beach, a surfer place with a special atmosphere. We loved watching the pros on their boards, easily getting all these huge waves.
An old jetty on the beach, which I previously discovered in the internet was, what I wanted to photograph. Though the sky never actually got colorful on one of the sunsets, the long exposures became really calm and simple.
